How Akeredolu’s Ingenuity Has Revolutionised Education In Ondo
On assumption of office – 24th February, 2017, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN was tactful and clearheaded about what’s required to be done in the education sector of the Sunshine State. He didn’t mince words in his agenda to providing functional education and technology for the citizens.
As opposed to the hitherto arrangement that inclined to building few edifice in conspicuous areas for political expediencies at the expense of schools in emerging towns and villages, which were dilapidated. Arakunrin Akeredolu opted for an all inclusive approach by paying N3.9 billion counterpart fund to the Universal Basic Education Commission, (UBEC), to secure N7.6 to finance basic education in the State. That approach has paid off !
Now, in Ondo State, whether you live in Abababubu in Idanre Local Government Area, Ikamu, Oka – Akoko in the North Senatorial District or Ibule the suburb of the State Capital, Akure, there’s one decent primary school in the standard radius.
In less than two years in the saddle, Arakunrin Akeredolu has brought a silent revolution into the State; the results are audible and visible, even to those who may not want to look at the direction of good things. At the elementary level, a conducive environment has been provided for the best pedagogy.
Before the political irredentists- who holds tenaciously illusionary and delusionary grandeur of an unbeatable performance will wake up from their slumber, Governor Akeredolu would have successfully engendered a more holistic approach to putting the State back on track.
In less than two years, in all sectors – Agriculture ,Health, Infrastructure, Education and Workers’ Welfare Akeredolu is making progress by leaps and bounds.
